Lissu: Sitta is parliament cornerstone

OPPOSITION Chief Whip Tundu Lissu said former speaker, Mr Samwel Sitta, is the cornerstone of the National Assembly foundation.

Mr Lissu said the former speaker removed the Parliament from the shadow of the government after the era of single party rule.

“He made the House that is known today … and living what he cherished is the best way of honouring him,” Mr Lissu, who is MP for Singida East, said.
